Anti-Sexual Harassment
- Introduction
- The college maintains Zero Tolerance towards sexual harassment in any form.
- Rules are framed as per the POSH Act, 2013 and UGC Regulations, 2015 to ensure a safe and respectful environment for students and staff.
- Sexual harassment includes any unwelcome act or behavior, whether direct or indirect, such as:
- Physical contact and advances.
- Demands or requests for sexual favors.
- Making sexually colored remarks or jokes.
- Any verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature that causes discomfort or humiliation.
- Applicability
- These rules apply to all students, faculty, non-teaching staff, and visitors.
- They cover incidents that occur on campus and during off-campus college-related activities like tours, internships, and fieldwork.
- Prohibited Acts
- Passing lewd comments or jokes.
- Stalking or sending inappropriate messages on social media.
- Retaliating against anyone who complains of harassment.
- Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
- The college will have an Internal Complaints Committee as per law.
- Complaint Procedure
- Complaints can be made in writing to the ICC or Principal.
- A complaint box and dedicated email address will be provided.
- Awareness and Prevention
- Display of anti-sexual harassment rules on notice boards and the college website.
- Orientation sessions for students and staff.
